Schuyler Ha, MFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides tailored psychotherapy and counseling to meet the needs of individuals, couples and groups. Schuyler was psychodynamically and Emotionally Focused Trained (EFT) at the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills where he specialized in working with couples and facilitated a gay men’s process group. He also received further training with the Los Angeles LGBT Center, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide short term and crisis treatment to individuals and couples. There, he also facilitated a men’s substance abuse group.
Having been raised on three continents within three distinct cultures, Schuyler is especially sensitive to the challenges of a person’s spiritual beliefs, cultural identity and sexual practices as they may conflict and compete with societal norms. His background and lived experiences contribute to his work with individuals dealing with lifespan development issues and their relationship to sex and love addiction.
Schuyler attended the University of Southern California (USC) where he received both his B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Public Administration, Sol School of Public Policy. Schuyler holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.
