Don Nocon, MA

Don Nocon is a Primary Therapist at Center for Healthy Sex. As a Filipino-American, Don understands that immigrants can live with a multiplicity of diversity issues. He is also passionate about helping the LGBT community, especially those coming out of the Church, the closet, and reparative therapy. He is experienced in issues of developmental and sexual trauma. Don has a psychodynamic and collaborative approach with a body-centered awareness to the therapeutic work in the room.

Don graduated from Pacifica Graduate Institute with an MA in Counseling Psychology. The depth perspective includes an exploration of the metaphors, archetypes, and the collective unconscious at work in the lives of his clients. He is versed in relational Gestalt through his time at The Relational Center. Alongside these methods, he is pursuing a certification in the trauma modality of Brainspotting.
