Leila Wilf, MFT

Leila WilfLeila Wilf is a Clinical Associate at the Center for Healthy Sex and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She gravitated towards working with individuals and couples who were experiencing relational and intimacy issues; working with a wide variety of cultures. She noticed early in her trainings that childhood trauma and our earliest relations with our primary caretakers inform our adult attachment style, which informs her work. Leila is a certified grief and loss counselor, and is trained in PTSD and trauma, the Gottman Method (L1 and L2), and Emotionally Focused Therapy. She believes with the right support, positive changes can and will happen in life. She uses a combination of psychodynamic, attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy, and a variety of evidence-based interventions with her clients. She came into this field as a second career and brings with her, considerable life experience.

Leila has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles and a Bachelors degree in Sociology from The University of California Los Angeles.
