The face of female love addiction is mirrored in her relational compulsions which relegate her to a life of fantasy. Her seemingly interactive style is labile, with a come-here/go-away emotional charge that is echoed in chaotic relationships. The love addict’s “drug” of choice is less about sex than about a particular romantic experience. This CEU lecture will take an integrated approach to treating love addiction, drawing on the latest therapeutic interventions and science-based research about intimacy, desire, love, sexual health, and happiness.
