Interactive webinar with Mellissa McCracken, CADC II, CSATc, on “Covid Coping” and Compulsive Sex in the LGBTQIA+ Population
This webinar will explore substance abuse-related social, sexual, and psychological risks associated with the Covid-19 pandemic in the LGBTQIA+ population. We will explore key factors to this phenomenon including P-PTSD (pandemic-related post-traumatic stress disorder), maladaptive “Covid coping” through compulsive sex, and quarantine-related affect dysregulation, all of which contribute to catastrophic cycles of chemsex relapse in gay men.
