FREE CE LECTURE!
1 CE available for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, LEPs, and psychologists

Porn addiction is commonly misunderstood as solely being about men who love to watch people having sex. In reality, there are many emotions that lead a person to become addicted to pornography, although the addiction keeps those feelings hidden beneath the surface. We will discuss how to assess for and treat pornography addiction, as well as how to process and heal the unresolved emotions that lie beneath their addictive behaviors.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain an effective clinical assessment method for pornography addiction.
  • Identify 2 treatment and containment methods for new clients presenting with problematic compulsive pornography use.
  • Describe 2 emotions that often drive the pornography addiction cycle and how to help clients work through them.
