Emily Sculthorpe, MA

Emily Sculthorpe is a Primary Therapist at Center for Healthy Sex. Her work is trauma-informed and attachment-oriented, with a focus on supporting clients to improve their relationships with themselves and others in their lives. She has experience working in individual, couple, and group settings, taking a compassionate, collaborative, non-judgmental approach to helping clients reach their full sexual potential. Emily is particularly passionate about working with couples and people with alternative sexual identities, including the LGBTQ+ community, non-monogamous/polyamorous individuals, sex workers, and those interested in BDSM/kink.

Emily earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, specializing in LGBTQ-Affirmative Therapy, and her Bachelor’s in Biopsychology, Cognition & Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. Emily has worked primarily in community mental health and completed her training at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
