Relationship therapy often triggers stronger countertransference than individual sessions. When partners are negotiating different boundaries than we might set in our own relationships, we need to both be at ease with our own parameters, and receptive and supportive of our clients’ process of deciding for themselves. This conversation will focus on our awareness of our own attachment styles and shaping influences that impact how we conceptualize and work with poly clients.
