Anyone who works with couples in sexual recovery knows that trust is the single most critical variable that influences couples’ healing. In this presentation, Drs. Bill and Ginger Bercaw, developers of Sexual Reintegration Therapy and authors of The Couple’s Guide to Intimacy, introduce their new model of trust restoration. In addition to offering a new framework for conceptualizing how recovering couples experience trust, specific clinical examples will be presented.

Drs. Bill and Ginger Bercaw are Clinical Psychologists specializing in relationships and sexual issues. They are the only married, doctoral-level, Clinical Psychologist relationship experts holding certifications in both Sex Therapy (CST) and Sexual Addiction (CSAT). The Bercaws are the Founding Directors of the California Center for Healing, Inc., a psychological practice in Pasadena, CA, that specializes in treating sexual dissatisfaction/dysfunction, marital dissatisfaction, codependence, emotional trauma resolution, sexual addiction, and spouses & partners of sex addicts. The Bercaws have recently published two books: From the Living Room to the Bedroom: Six Steps to Lasting Intimacy and Sexual Abundance (May, 2011) is their much anticipated resource for today’s busy couples seeking to rekindle passion and connection in a realistic, practical and sustainable manner. The Couple’s Guide to Intimacy: How Sexual Reintegration Therapy Can Help Your Relationship Heal (October, 2010) presents the highly effective new treatment modality they developed, Sexual Reintegration Therapy. These resources have been endorsed as groundbreaking by many leaders and best-selling authors in the field.
